My newest upcoming events include this month's La Pine Ray's Food Place Grand Opening on April 23rd, the Cowboyz Feed Co. Grand Opening on East Hwy 20 on April 26th, and the Rim Rock Riders Playday on April 27th. I look forward to being at these events and hope to see you there. Ghost Rock Ranch and La Pine Rodeo
On May 17th I was at the Open House at Ghost Rock Ranch. I sold raffle tickets for a 50/50 pot in which Marilyn Russell was the winner! I also went to the Horse Owners Workshop put on by Purina at the Ghost Rock Ranch on June 5th.
The Sisters Rodeo June 13-15 was my first rodeo of the season and had a blast. It was a great kick off rodeo to start my reign. I learned a lot, to stay away from wet areas in the arenas during run-ins; I enjoyed signing pictures for the kids and meeting new people. It was a fun weekend. At the Sisters rodeo there at least 30 other queens/princesses and I met most of them. I look forward to seeing them again at the next rodeo which is the Crooked River Round Up on June 27, 28 and 29. I will ride in the parade there, too.
On June 18th I will be at the La Pine Chamber Luncheon and I hope to be able to introduce myself and invite everyone to our rodeo.
I will be cutting the ribbon at the Grand Opening for Autumn Funerals here in La Pine on July 1st at 10 a.m. on Huntington Rd. across from the Post Office. July 2nd I will visit with KSJJ and then go to the re-opening of the Country Feed & Pet Supply for a meet & greet from 9:30 a.m. until noon. July 4th you can see me in the Frontier Days Parade. I will be at our La Pine Rodeo July 5th & 6th! I can’t wait, only 3 weeks to go. Hope to see you all there!

June 27-29 I represented La Pine Rodeo at the Crooked River Round Up in Prineville and had a great time there. After that was our own rodeo. It was a BLAST!! Working with everyone in and out of the arena was great. I wish the time could have gone on longer.
Sunday evening, last night of our rodeo, I flew to Washington DC where I attended a 10 day National Leadership Engineering Conference, so I could learn more about engineering.
Upon returning from DC, I went straight to the Deschutes County 4-H Horse Fair. I won Champion in Cow Working and Reserve Champion in Ranchmanship. Overall it was a really fun horse fair.
On July 25-27, I represented La Pine Rodeo at the Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo in the run-ins. July 30- August 2, I did the run-ins each night at the Deschutes County Rodeo/Fair and helped movie cattle on Friday evening of the rodeos and autographed pictures for the crowd. August 8-10 I attended the Wheeler County Fair and Rodeo at Fossil. I participated in the local play day and ranch rodeo. I did run-ins for the regular two rodeos. It was a very hot weekend, but turned out really great.
In these next upcoming weeks I will be going to my last 3 rodeos: Grant County’s 99th anniversary Rodeo in John Day on August 22-24, Harney County Rodeo in Burns on Sept 5-7 and last the Sister Rodeo NPRA Finals on Sept 19-21. I really hope to see you there!
