July 7, 2010 - The La Pine Rodeo Association thanks the very supportive families, the wonderful kids (33 for both days, ages 2-9) the enthusiastic spectators and our great announcer, Kedo Olson, for the best Mutton Bustin' event yet!

Our winners for Saturday, July 3, were lst, Kage Kossler, 4, Sunriver; 2nd, Tanner Pease, 6, Sisters; 3rd, Logan Winn, 7, La Pine.

Sunday, July 4, winners were 1st , Hailey Peterson, 9, Forest Grove; 2nd, Kylee Brown, 6, Bend; 3rd, Tatum McDaniels, 8, La Pine.

A buckle went to each first place, and ribbons to first, second and third. Everyone else received a participant ribbon.

Thanks to our buckle sponsors, Deschutes County Citizens Action Group and Randy Yow Construction Company for making this possible and to High Hopes Acres in Culver for providing those very woolly sheep! Also, my personal thanks to Sandy Jansen, Kathy DeBone, Jennifer and Toby Wilson and Mike and Sheila McKelvie for their great help.

Preregistering made it possible for us to have time for a few more riders this year. Next year, visit this page or look for fliers and ads in Central Oregon after the first of June 2011 to preregister.

We all had a great time.........and who knows what future rodeo champions will come from this great starting rodeo event.
